Terrible news, I actually heard about it on the ABC news down in Victoria. Not that I know you personally, but it makes it seem closer to me.

I haven't got to the forum much of late as I've been so busy. My condolences on such a tragic event.

A brief internet search reveals that under Queensland law 17 is the age at which offenders switch from Juvenile to Adult, not 18 as in other states.

Sorry to hear about this Caroline. It was not long ago that I had to deal first hand with something similar :(
