Was just wondering where i could get some , Are you able to buy them anywhere.. When i was a kid my neighbour was in the Australian reserves & every now & then he used to bring us a couple home..I've been telling the kids about them for ever but have'nt been able to find any & i don't know anyone in the forces that i could ask if they could get some..

Can't even remember what was in them..I know there was a tube of coffee a tube of condenced milk some chocolate a couple of biscuts in it but thats all i can remember..Does anyone know whats in them now ..But i would like to get hold of 3 if possable.. Any ideas or does anyone know where i could get these from..Oh yeah it was quiet a few years ago when the neighbour got them for us so i guess they would of changed by now..

    Thanks Jason..

Best bet is knowing someone in the reserves. The following is the ingredient list for combat ration one man [ packed 2008/2009.

    Beef Teriyaki
    Chicken BBQ
    Chicken Italiano
    Tuna in springwater
    Fruit spread, plum,
    Fruit grains, raspberry
    biscuits , crispbread
    fruit, two fruits, diced, canned.

Beverage powder type 1 mixed berry
Freeze dried onion & potato powder
beverage sport powder type 2 orange
    muesli bar - forest fruits
    curry powder
    soup low salt chicken
    chewing gum juicy fruit
    pepper black

That is one days effort, the other 5 days are of a similar vein, with meals such as beef mince with spaghetti, beef braised with gravy, beef minced with tortellini, vegetable curry. lamb with rosemary, meatballs, beef with sweet & sour sauce, sausages & vegetables, beef BBQ. Various sauces, fruit spread etc. Used to be able to get them from disposal stores, but the bloke I go to says they are as scarce as hens teeth.Wouldn't hurt to ring around. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Do they still have the field expedient landmine?? The small tin of cheddar cheese with a half tab of lit hexi in a shallow hole. About a 5 minute delay from memory.

Yes, cheese cheddar. [ Cheddar cheese, food acid [331], salt, preservative [234], mineral salts [ 339,450] colour [160b] water, rennet.] What on earth is rennet?, and they still have the tubes of condensed milk! Bob

Hungerbuster Ration Pack Buy Now | Survival Supplies Australia

Not the cheapest, and I've heard of people making up their own to lessen the cost and tailor them to their specific needs.

I sampled on for the first time this year, and must admit they were better than I'd come to expect. Mind you, feed them to me continuously over time and my thoughts might change
