Any excuse for a party or get together is a good excuse.![]()
Having looked around the forum I've seen some of the clubs do runs/BBQ's for the 65th year of Land Rover.
Here in Victoria there are get togethers for off road trips like the Winter Wombat.
Also there is a Series day and a Defender day out to socialise around a BBQ.
So...
I was thinking what about a day at Caribbean Gardens Market | The market offers a huge variety of goods, rides and gardens.
There is are area that we can park our Land Rovers on and enjoy each others company.
Also there is the market, rides and café so a bit for every one.
It's located in the Eastern suburbs not far from East Link.
I was thinking about Sunday October 6th if the area is available.
This also a long weekend in NSW and SA if interstaters wish to join us.
AFL should finish the weekend prior.
The question I'm asking is do I make the call or not to book the area?
This would be an opportunity for the non off roading AULROians to join in
Cheers, Kyle.

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Sounds like a good idea, there are a lot of members over that side of town that wouldn't make it to the Wombat weekends, etc or may not want to go bush, so an Urban meet and greet sounds good.
Personally I wouldn't be able to make that date, I'll be up at Glenreagh for the SLOw meet that weekend.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
At this stage count us in Kyle.
Just another choice of venue that is about two - three kilometres from Caribbean lake, Norton park of High street road.

I had thought of a few parks we could use also.
The one above as with the others I thought of would need us to fill in form to book an area to use.
This opens up all sorts of issues which I think isn't worth the hassle for a forum meet.
Westerfolds were happy with us as under 50 cars so just got the verbale nod from the ranger.
The advantage of the suggested site is it gives partners and kids things to do while we talk/dribble all things Landy.
Having very little response on this thread though I'm wondering if it's worth doing.
I'll give a few more days and go from there.
I was hoping to get some of the members who don't camp out to get involved.
Im watching with interest![]()
G'day Kyle,,
I've only just seen this, I'm in,, I think. Top idea dude.
Is the area the bit just above the main entrance near the bank?
Having an event just before the main door/entrance into the actual market would bring lots of exposure to the Land Rover brand, and the forum too.
This is a great idea Kyle.I would be in for surePlus im only 10 min away which is a bonus.
Cheers
Chris
