Maybe all the smoke's already been let out?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Truth is you can get prewired 12V flashing multicolour LEDs you can wire across the fuse holders permanently or temporarily for less cost than those fuses, just look on ebay...

    Led blade fuses

After reading this post got an assorted box of the led fuses from Jaycar.
I was fascinated how they would work.
I intentionaly blew a 5A to see what would happen. The LED lit up but only when the fault was present. The circuit needs to remain, although it it would be drawing minimal current. These would be no good for an intermittent fault
By the way the are not polarity sensitive as there are actually two diodes in the circuit so one will work either way you insert the fuse.

Can I use these with SWMBO so I know when she's blown a fuse?

There are generally pre-installed audible alarms for those.
You know somethings wrong when they go silent

Oh how true this is Muppet!

It's a bit like the old landy adage that you only really need to start worrying when it STOPS leaking oil:
when swmbo isn't talking then I really know I'm in the poo

Narva make a resettable circuit breaker that replaces blade fuses.
I had them in my sierra but shudder to think how much kitting out the disco with them would cost.
