Sorry..., but no. True fatties can't play loigue. The rock of immovability is only necessary in game with contestable scrums![bigsmile]

Very true. RL scrums are basically 14 big fellas getting together for a group hug.
Let us have a look at the game of Melbourne Football.
Points are scored by passing a ball somehow between two uprights and not necessarily by kicking. Doesn't have to be a place or drop kick and there is no crossbar to clear. If the players can't kick then they get a consolation prize for missing. If a player manages to catch a ball (a somewhat necessary skill for senior footballers in my opinion) then they are allowed a free kick at goal. There is no tackling that any fan of either Rugby code would recognise as such. Bad handling is not punished so players may feel free to drop balls all over the paddock. No need for ball security as there are no consequences for being unable to catch or hold the ball. There is no offside, meaning it is not a team game and players are scattered all over the field playing almost one on one.
In Qld. during my youth Melbourne Football was known as girlball or queerball and considered a suitable game for girls and sickly children. The mere fact that the game originated in Melbourne ensured its status as a wimp's game.
I'm hoping the Boks game was just a hic-up.....as atrocious as it was. I was at the game and I didn't rate the Boks that much either. If the Wallabies had been playing the ABs that night, the score would have been in three digits.....and the ABs wouldn't have even needed to employ their 'interesting' tactics...LOL!!!!:wasntme:
The last couple of games before that I thought the Wallabies were showing some great potential...it was just disjointed. When they did get it together, they were very dangerous, enough to force the ABs on their back feet on numerous occasions.
It appeared to be a consistency issue that should have improved in time.....I have no freakin idea what happened against the Boks......I left with 15 to go!!!
It's very early days for a new couch and culture, so hopefully it will get back on track. The Reds hadn't been competitive in a decade and they were turned around. They haven't done as well as they could have in the last two but they have had shocking injury issues and they were still very competitive.
I don't think Mackenzie's influence was a fluke, so here's hoping. :)
When medical trials keep rolling long after they have been proved futile... this from 2010...

What I find interesting about you south sea poms, is when your team loses, you attack them like rabid dogs. [ I'm old enough to remember that] That's what happens when , I guess, when you have nothing else to hang your hat on. Can't wait for it to happen again, and it will ;) Bob
