My personal pet hate, developed from my father, is people who wait until the light turns green to turn on their indicator to turn across lanes of traffic.
I have to restrain myself from pushing them into those lanes of traffic so they get out of my way. :twisted:

I had one today, saw from a distance camry in a side street. Doesn't move. I'm doing about 40, then when I'm all of 20m from the street (from around 3-400m) he decides to not only pull out but stop about 15m from the next car which has stopped for the green light (yeah WTFBBQ). The ABS got a workout and it was politely explained that next time I'd press the right hand pedal instead of the left.

I watched an instructor on the SE Hwy (Dandenong) drive down the middle of what is essentially a turning lane between 4 lanes (Various turning spots for either direction) to do a right hand turn into Greens Rd. He had someone in the car with him, but it meant that he was travelling against traffic for a fair time/distance, probably close to 3-400mts.
And this guy "teaches" people,, :eek:,, No wonder there's so many fools out there.
At another spot we have people cutting through service a station to get out a bit quicker,,, totally disrupts the flow of traffic. (Corner of Pound Rd/Webb St & Pound Rd Narre Warren). In order to do this little feat of theirs, they have to travel against the traffic, in some cases, depending I guess on how brave they are, up to about 200mts.

I'll put my hand up, I leave a gap to the vehicle in front when stopping.
A gap that varies depending on the conditions and observations of those around me. Sometimes shorter than 1 car length, sometimes longer.
I also allow gaps to open up in front of me in heavy traffic if the traffic stream is 'creeping'.
Sorry but I generally drive a car that is bad mannered, grumpy and doesn't allow 'slipping' the clutch to maintain less than walking pace (2 pedal manual). I can creep if I'm driving the auto Disco.
I also allow a respectable distance between vehicles that varies with conditions and speed.
I'm a terrible driver.
