So , which highways in Europe have you Driven ? Please name them. And your final statement ? The very reason we should not raise our speed limit. Name the highways, I may believe you, Bob [edit when did you drive the Stuart hwy.]
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Had it been bouncing or swaying then obviously. Seems like you're really stretching to prove that the engineers that designed the road were wrong... Have you driven it Ian?
Many times, last time was late last year and I accumulated over $3000 in fines for average speed in excess of 100 but below 110.
130 is vastly different to 110 when it goes pear shaped such as a flat tyre, obstruction, animal or one of the thousands of unexpected events that could crop up. Over half of drivers' abilities are lacking at 100kph, another 30% is a recipe for carnage and disaster.

can do 260 on that single lane highway without issues.

hha, it does. . and nothing has really changed. the road is the same, the drivers are the same, the cars are the same but the artificial limit is reduced.

This Queenslander is pretty confidant that he has driven more kilometres on Sesame Street than either of you fellows, possibly combined.

Watch out we got a badass over here :flipoff2:

We are in the 21st century now, cars are easily capable of those speeds, people aren't driving old boats anymore.

Not everyone has to drive at 130, a lot of people do anyway, but the road, and the cars are good enough, a lot of the drivers that tackles those speeds on such a long road would be good enough as well. The idiot's don't even feel comfortable at 110, why would they speed up?
