Most of the 110,s cousins have were bought in the 1st and 2nd auction, 2 problems for them, they paid too much for a car yard and smart people are also buying from the auctions so they will have to lower their prices to get rid of them or find the one born every minute(sucker)![]()
Hi Mick,
Gray's does not appear to me to be any different than ebay. If more than one person decides to call it quits at a certain bid amount (which in Gray's case is their call for the increment) then the first person who bid that figure is the winner - they are the first "top" bidder just like the ebay system.
read 303gunner's explanation carefully.
The real difference between ebay and Grays is that to try and wring the last increment out of the bidders (or give an opportunity to people who have not yet bid because they are waiting and seeing) the "end" time of the auction may be extended till the last man is standing - we have seen some finish a considerable time after the "end" time.
If ebay says an auction finishes at 4.45PM it does exactly that - not 6.05PM that might happen at Grays. I think it is important if you are a bidder to know that too but I can't see that mentioned in 303gunner's info.
