    G'day GT

As Timj says new would be better, just make sure that you order the right types,as Series 2/2a differ in the location of the swivel arm,as they changed about 60/61 from memory, I have a 68.

I think I have a couple that may be salvagable.

they are only going to the scrap metal place as part of clean up.

keep an eye out for my scrapping as part of move posts in the markets and they are yours

    Gaitors

What ever is decided, new or second hand, it might be worth fitting rubber gaitors, I got myself a set from Britpart, but I've yet to fit them. I can't see them lasting with rough usage but they would serve in my case, in that I can't see myself doing any rock crawls etc.

I would be keen to hear from anyone who has fitted them.

I have heard that they can be mud and water traps, and if not checked regularly will lead to swivel damage and water getting in.
