Swivel balls for my 1960 series 2a

    Hi All
I am looking for good second hand swivel balls for my 1960 series 2a Land rover, as I have been on eBay and most of the UK Stores , but the postage to Perth is nearly more expensive than the items.
Does anyone know where I could pick up a pair of swivel balls or should I just bite the bullet and buy new ones .

The cost of shipping 2nd hand will almost be more than the risk of getting dud ones.

You can use any swivels except the stage 1.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Many years ago FWD in Brisbane had some that they re-plated (2nd hand ones that they reconditioned and did on an exchange basis), maybe it is possible to get the same over in Perth, either from a supplier or have it done yourself.

I just got some new ones from pomgolia (DLS I think), for my 2a, only about $250 I think, not expensive anyway for peace of mind. Kit comes with new bearings and pins, seals, ect, delivery was about 5 days
But I have some second hand ones if you want to go down that road.
    I'm in Geraldton.

Pretty sure I've got a good used set sitting in the shed, kept for one of those "just in case" moments. I'm in Brisbane, but happy to look at postage if you're keen.

The swivel balls have scares about 2mm deep, I phoned around to get them re hard chromed but that is very expensive .

I would be interested if they are in reasonable condition. I'm sure the postage would be a lot cheaper than Brizzy to Perth . If you could see what it would cost i would be happy to do a deal with you . Thanks mate

So I would just like to thank every one for your comments and help on my problem. I can be contacted on my mobile if you would like to let me know how much postage will cost etc.0424 100 955 Graeme

I would not muck around with second hand when this is available DA3169 | Swivel Housing Kit (early type with steering arm on the top - to mid 1960s)

70 GBP gets you the whole lot brand new so you can feel a lot safer. Freight might add another 60 - 90 GBP.

    Cheers,
