On a second look there's at least two steam cars there. A later Stanley (red, next to the dark blue Cadillac).

As to the A-Ford not doing 100... That sounds a little wrong to me... If its a V8 it should smash that.

They're on club rego anyway, it's up to club scrutiny as to what is road legal, and they only need to meet standards of when they were made...

I've never met someone that bought the cars new though... The newest car would be 95 years old anyway... Making the driver have to be over 112 to have even driven it new...

Pretty much on the ball He told me it was about 35 KPH.

As for the model A, they were all 4 cyl. According to Wiki they did have a top speed of 105 kays, but you certainly couldn't sit on that. I have been in my friends a few times and it is comfortable at 80

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Yes, all strictly tongue-in-cheek. I do like the mental picture of the police going over every car and checking for modifications and bald tyres.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

Ah I'm thinking of the V8 model after it...

Our cars are more... exotic (not to sound snobbish, I'm just not up on all the Black Iron (Yankee junk)). All our cars are European.
