That sucks Yorkie. Its a hard decision to have to make. Think happy thoughts and good times, of which i reckon there would be plenty!!

Sorry to hear of your loss Yorkie,we too had Cattle Dogs for about 20 years and each one of their passing was a sad loss to us,but they leave us with happy memories each with their own personalities.

Hi Liam, it's sad when you lose a friend, and you've had CID longer than the kids, now I just gotta stop Kerry from balling

    We will him when camping

Kerry says give Cassie a big cuddle

    Cheers Baz.

Sad news mate, I know too well how hard it is to say goodbye to an old friend like that, we lost two this year, Abbey in Feb and Theo in May. We have other dogs but you still miss them.
We have only just taken on our newest rescue project, Elly, a 2 year old Greyhound. She has integrated well and has become part of the family.
14 years is a good innings these days, enjoy the memories of the good times.

The day all us dogs owners dread!
A sad day but they leave great memories and a big hole in our lives.

Swore last time I would have no more because of the pain...now have another two.
My thoughts are with your family and you.

Liam. My heart goes out to you. We went through this just over a month ago.
Hit me much harder than I thought.

I am starting to tear up as I type this. Some one from the thread I started posted this link, so I am offering it to you.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcQvYh_3Atw]The Rainbow Bridge - YouTube[/ame]

Have a watch of this. It will make you cry, I balled my eyes out but I am glad I watched it. After much discussion we have made the choice to get another one, the anticipation has made the loss more bearable.

Chin up mate, I know it is hard but our thoughts are with you.

PS. not wanting to impose on your thread, but if you feel like it here is a link to my loss.
    I Cried Today

I am now crying after posting this.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

If you have ever known the joyful sound
Of Barks that fill the air
A sloppy kiss, A friendly Paw
    A quite adoring stare
If you have ever had a special friend
To share a tear or two
Or maybe just a listening ear
To lift you when your blue
If you have ever felt the wrenching pain
    That only death can send
Then you have lost not "just a dog"
You have truly lost a friend
But God is good and treasures love
    And there at Heavens Gate
A sloppy kiss and a joyful bark
    Your precious mate awaits
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
