Gidday Chops old mate.
I knowwhowhat you can spend it on.
And being such a good mate, I'll drive it around for you so you don't have to.
Well, I'll have my tax return coming in shortly,, luckily for me, I'll get a few bob back, so now I need to make some decisions on what to get for the "Hot Rod"
New tyres,, I'll possibly get the BFG's
Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 4x4 tyre | Recreational Tyres | Products | BFGoodrich Tires Australia & New Zealand
But I could sway to Coopers yet,
I need to remake my canopy, try and get it right so I can lift it off when we're camping in one spot for more than one night.
Light's,,, still not sure which way to go with these. Could either get the "+ Globes" which apparently do a good job, or I could get the "Truck Lites".
My flares are going to be Vinyl covered, and then my rims will be painted around the same time. Even luckier for me, these two mods are really cheap
Still want a long range tank, and a water tank, but these don't need to be like right now sort of thing,,
So, also pondering a diff lock, but not immediately, still undecided which one I will eventually get, lots of pondering for that one. Maybe next year
So what else should one think of, what other suggestions would you have. Remembering, our car is primarily for touring, not weekend bashing, although I don't mind playing in the mud occasionally![]()
But sometimes the "little things" can make a big a big difference to the comfort when travelling. You know, the little nick knack things.
I've got a winch, duel bat, also a rear wheel carrier, although I'll be modifying that soon too. Have the awning and the RTT, we have good chairs and tables etc.

I have a Discovery 4 3 litre after a lot of research settled on a set of Hankook Dynapro RF10 . Very quiet on the black stuff and better grip where it matters.
Humm,,, well Mick, yes your a good mate,,,
But guess what,,, there's not a hope in hell I'm buying me a new truck for you to drive old boy,,,,
hehe,,, If I was getting that much dude, I wouldn't be spending it on a blood box either,,, I'd be happy with just a 110 rag top
(I'd let you have a drive but,,)
DP2,, I had a look at those, but I'm not sure they look aggressive enough for me. Certainly cheap though.
Thanks for the input.![]()
Go the KM2's! BFG are the quiet achievers when it comes to muddies. Every other bloke has coopers and they just ain't what they used to be!
I'm counting 40,000km on my KM2's with more than half the tread remaining, and my Rangie ain't no princess!
Ashcroft air lockers are good value for money too.
Cheers
Keithy
Go the bfg km2 , I'm looking at them next as my bighorns where good but noisy and are getting low on tread after 50,000k's , they could do another 20 but the 2 front where not rotated for a while so are far more worn than the rear.
I went 255/85 r16 previously but not sure whether to stay the same or go 35/12.5 as the 255's are around $290-300 and the 35in 15's are going as low as $320 with the occasional add for lower on either evil bay or gumtree.
Spend some on booze, sheilas, sports cars, and then you can just waste the rest.

I got my tax return back the week before last!
-$25,000.
