From everything in this thread it is abundantly clear that the RR driver was fully activated into survival mode..and he was getting the hell away from the threat ( huge angry biker mob blocks road and inflicts damage on car, threatens safety of family!!....) as best he could for his sake and his family. Who wouldnt do the same? I hope the report on his paraplegia is wrong-that would be tragic. From a psychological perspective he cant be criticised for his actions - and hopefully the law would appreciate that?

the bikers are not the innocent party.
where are you getting the report that the driver is now paraplegic?

Just so we are on the same page, I never said, or hinted to, the bikers being innocent.

My take on this: A large group of reckless motorcycle riders with no regard for the law or for the safety of anyone else on the road, cause a collision in which one of them is injured. They then exhibit pack mentality as they aggressively approach the vehicle that they have collided with. Fearing for his life, the driver does whatever is necessary to flee. The lawless gang then pursues him in an even more dangerous manner, until they manage to corner him and inflict violence upon him that totally vindicates his earlier response to their threatening behavior.
    Have I missed anything?
These people actively participated in behavior that any reasonable person could predict was going to result in injury to themselves or others, then responded violently when the predictable outcome occurred. But of course it is someone else's fault.

I have ridden on the road for quite some time, and have ridden with some decent sized groups.

There have been some pretty bad scenarios involving cars cutting off riders, a couple of guys have had bad crashes into cars pulling out etc. A good mate broke his hip not long ago, some lady just pulled out on a group of about 20 sports bikes, not sure how she didn’t see, but anyway back to topic,

Not during one incident did anyone feel the need to harass any of the drivers as a ‘gang’ of riders, nor has any violent activities taken place, in fact in ever situation the drivers are usually vary scared and sorry for whatever mistake had happened. Why would any person think that behaving like that is acceptable in any situation, ever?

These motorcycle riders need to wake up to themselves and take on some responsibility, it is incidents like these that make owning and riding a bike more difficult and expensive!
Without more information I am totally on the RR drivers side, what a scary situation to be in!

Once in my GTR I was seriously harassed by a big group of Commonchero’s on New Line road (Sydney NSW), so I just boosted off and none of the Harley’s could keep up, but in this guy’s situation looks like he had nowhere to go.

Unfortunately a huge portion of the riders would be normal people just wanting to join in with the festivities, but get exactly that label because of the actions of a few degenerates that are just out to cause problems and behave poorly.

I don't really know how a quad being ridden on the road has anything to do with their intelligence. And what would make it not legal? 4 wheels instead of 2?
