    How to flash the chip on a 300Tdi?

    Just wondering how I'd go about flashing the ship in my Tdi to make it go faster !

    Wow, even I don't get bored enough at work to start such a thread!

    BTW, I mouse over threads from the list which gives me a popup text of the first post so I wasn't fooled. Just bored enough to reply.

    Well , you take your DIY Arduino flasher and connect it to the .......

    Hazard light switch? That should at least satisfy the flash part of the request.

    The only time you can get flash chips in a 300TDi is when you pay extra for the chunky fries at the Hungry Jacks drive through.

    Wouldn't make it go any faster though.

    I think a BOV is good value too. Then it can "Pshhhhhh" when you change gears.

    Anyway, I think putting a chip in the engine makes them go well.

    Method:

    Take one cold chisel and lump hammer

    Knock one chip off the ol' block

    Measure the weight of chip to the nearest gramme

    Set camera to "flash" and pixellate said chip

    Test drive with butt dyno engaged (Note, vacuum the footwell of last week's crumbs first or the results will be inaccurate)

    Post up the results.
