Teens arrested for stealing charity box
Two boys, aged 13 and 15, have been arrested for allegedly stealing a charity collection box from a Springwood cafe on Monday.
The 13-year-old was charged with shoplifting and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear in children's court today.
The 15-year-old boy was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and larceny. He was granted conditional bail to appear in a children's court on Monday, December 9.
The police say they are confident of identifying further offenders.

Fires are at Minmi near Newcastle, the M1 (former F3) is closed at the northern end, Minmi school was evacuated, some residents evacuated.:o

We live about 5 or 6 kilometres from Minmi, smoke coming over and helicopters flying over constantly, plenty of sirens sounding as fire trucks move to Minmi, we are not in danger though (whew!!) as there are a lot of houses and roads between us and Minmi.:)

Minmi is a small ex-mining village just off the northern end of the M1 and is surrounded by trees.

All the best mate, clear your gutters and fill them with water. Plug the downpipes with socks filled with sand if you have to. Houses go down via the roof, if it gets in there you can't stop it. Stay safe.

Thanks mate, seems to have eased, I got my camera out to take piccies of the choppers flying over with their water tanks strung underneath and all of a sudden, no more helicopters.:)

They are in Newcastle, it is bad there :(

Only in certain areas, Chucaro. Minmi and Redhead/Gateshead areas. The helicopters are still flying over my place, I took this piccy about 15 minutes ago, sorry about the quality it was moving low and fast.:)

These choppers have been filling up at Springwood Country Club on a constant cycle since last thursday..

They are constantly filling the dam from the course irrigation system.

Yeah, I saw choppers with that setup underneath them flying over too!!!:)
