bikie club houses

one local club, unknown name, but not an outlaw club [my son's boss rides with them] the club president was arrested and now is facing time in jail because after the club had cleaners clean the club house, which they do once a month, the police raided it and found a but of a Marijuana cigarette, and a very small plastic bag that had previously held about a half a gram of cocaine. But of course that club president was not the user, but he will be the one who goes to jail if the Queensland government gets their way. That club does not wear patches, etc, just a group of friends who go for a ride together.

I'm pretty sure if the cops raided ANY 60 homes and industrial units they would find at least $50,000 drugs and guns. To my way of thinking it's a very poor result, less than $1000 per property and only 1 gun per 15 sites,hmmm wonder if they where warned.
If the cops raided 60 consecutive houses in one middle class street they would get a better haul. How many elderly or overseas born people do you know who keep large sums of cash at home? With gun ownership in Oz around 4/100 people and avg. house size 4 people you should net around 10 guns in a raid not 4.:D

Just spoke to my cousin, a patched member of the Vietnam Veterans MC. He's been out of the loop, due to ill health, but is ringing the President to get the story, one thing to remember, the VVMC had to get permission from the 1%'ers to wear the MC patch. Well, that's two of us who worked it out.

And if one was cynical try this - these gangs are now so powerful (in their own minds) that maybe they now longer are paying protection (sort of self-insuring) to certain parties who are now miffed and going to teach them a lesson. Remember senior police and political corruption in Qld and NSW, let alone the head of the SA Police Drug Squad in the 80s, recently also a NSW Crime Commission Assistant Director.
Don't forget it was John Howard who abolished the successful National Crime Authority - the pet hate of John Elliott, former President of the Liberal Party. In its place is the Australian Crime Commission that operates less independently.

Still good police trying to do their rotten job though despite the white-anting.

Would be interesting to know details of the cash, guns, drugs etc allegedly seized, which could be an embarrassment for police who authorised the raids considering the large amount of resources used. , Bloke who has worked for me and has had some involvement in an outlaw motorcycle gang reckoned in the past, apparently police have seized stuff from a clubhouse that they have subsequently had to return when established it was legitimate. Including a large amount of cash - the bar takings from a place where they drink a lot of grog at times. Also they apparently took some target pistols, which it turned out were legitimately registered. Wonder what proportion of the alleged "weapons" are things that lots of people have for various reasons. eg knives in kitchens. Even "explosives " could be just primers and propellant powder that a licensed firearms user who reloads ammunition has.

Police officers are not necessarily overall the most law abiding citizens themselves. Pro rata there are apparently more ex cops in jail than people from many other occupational backgrounds. Rather like the sort of thing that seems common, such as a mechanic's car needing lots of repair and maintenance, a plumbers drain being blocked, an accountants own books in a mess etc.

It would be interesting to see what suspect or illegal items would be found if 60 premises where police officers live were raided by another policing organisation who were not their mates. For a start, I am sure almost certainly more than 4 unregistered firearms.

Was he one of the " Gravediggers" ?
