I've read up about the Vic Club Permit scheme and I'm interested because I drive it less than 90 days a year and its garaged at all other times.
But I'm not sure if its for me because:
- When I do use it its for camping/touring, sometimes interstate and I may want to roll for up to 30 days at a time.
- It is in good condition but it is not a classic example, a bit of a mongrel.
So , not sure if I should be on club or stay on full rego?
As long as the logbook is filled in for the 30days straight it shouldn't be a problem.
Interstate is OK but......I think some States have different rulings on Club Rego (WA ?). You'd have to check this out.
Depending on the club you join you may need to get a roadworthy. Most clubs are now concerned about liability so insist on a roadworthy rather than using their own scruitineer.
