Problem solved. Jim![]()
I have had an issue with Telstra for two and a half weeks and repeated requests for help see me sent to an operator in the Philippines. Despite assurances that the system is fixed, IT IS NOT. How can I get to speak to someone here in Australia who understands the problem??? Jim

Wow i didn't know the AULRO forums had so much power. Anything we post comes true quite fast![]()
If you lodge a formal complaint with Telstra you will be assigned an Australian speaking Aussie to loook after the matter.
Hi Eevo. As per my pm to you that is exactly what I did. Rang disconnections and had fax line disconnected. That is when the trouble started. Jim![]()

I was told by someone in Telstra that you have to ask the Philippina to have the problem "escalated".
I had a problem and this is what I did and it then went to an Australian.
BTW I have always found the Philippina ladies to be very charming and helpful .

I have no problem with the Philippine staff. It seems I needed someone with a technical background to understand my problem, whom I eventually spoke with. Jim

I deal with a few different telco's at work, and that's the major issue - getting through to someone technical that knows what they are doing.
Being in a tech role myself I completely understand that you can't have your specialists tied up instructing customers on how to plug in cables, but its damn frustrating on the receiving end having to keep jumping through the hoops until you get the right person.
When you finally get there its often a mixed pleasure - the issue is fixed very quickly, but you are usually left thinking "why did it have to be that hard"
Glad you've got it sorted
