G'day.
I'll ask here first before seeking a referal to see someone or other. Usually the best thing to do.
Most of this year the skin on the soles of my feet have been peeling ? and quite tender. Also, deep dry cracks have formed underneath the small toe next to the little piggy. whole foot seems to be very dry. Its very painful to walk on.
Do I need to soak the feet in fish oil or a light grade of Penrite or something ?
Could there be something missing from my diet ?
Any ideas ?

Sounds like a bad case of athletes foot, get some fungal cream and slap it all over.

Or,extreme tinea,speak to your local chemist,or if near clean seawater,go for a daily paddle,as the salt will clean any mild infection,and toughen up the split skin,if there is no improvement see a Dr.

AT RESTIt could be onset of serious case of nexisostrophilatis, which could require amputation of the feet just above ankle.

See a local podiatrist and get a professional opinion, maybe you'll even get a pedicure or at least a cure for your peds.
They will refer you to a GP if it warrants more than their expertise.

SubscriberMy Dad used to suffer from cracks in his feet, and also on his finger tips in winter... Tried all sorts of stuff but nothing worked...., then a neighbouring farmer suggested udder cream.. (used on cows teats after milking). Don't laugh, it really works. Go into your local farm supplies, and you'll find it... Fairly thick waxy substance with that typical chemically vet smell. Prob says 'for animal use'.. Ignore that and see how you go. Cheers.
