Done my good deed for the day

    Gday All,

walking back to the car in the bunnings car park see a lady with a trolley loaded with potting mix and stuff, and can see her struggling towards a defender ute, so wonder on over and loaded them into the defender for her.

She thanked me and told her im always happy to help out a fellow landy owner.

Didn't hang around and chat as was in a hurry , but was a neat looking defender .

    Cheers Ean

If it was a different brand vehicle would you have helped?

    I would have.....

Did my good deed last week as well..Call out to a buildingA/C not working.Find a young lady crying her eyes out sitting on the steps with two little kids, phone is flat,as is the tyre on her car.No spare. She had been to the ATM,couldn't get any money out for whatever reason.

Get the nitro bottle out the van and pump up the tyre, she couldn't believe her eyes.Off she went.
Didn't stop for a chat either, had heaps to do.

I did think she was the owner of the small hatchback beside the defender and was walking over to help regardless as I could see how she was struggling with the trolley. I was quite impressed to see she was driving the defender.

My mother always made me do it when I was younger if she seen someone male or female struggling or just needing a hand, so it just seems normal now.

    Cheers Ean

    Nice one Ean,,
I too was taught to do this sort of thing. Too bad the kids of today don't have the manners to think of helping. It would be nice to see occasionally.

I was in Bunnings a few weeks ago.An older lady asked me to lift a bag of mushroom compost onto her trolley as it was too heavy. She said she actually wanted 3 bags but wont be able to push them and will do 3 trips to the car.I put 3 on and pushed it to the checkout and her car.
She thanked me and said she didnt think bikies were caring people.I laughed and said its OK lady,Im not a bikie.(shaved head, goatee beard)

And there would also be a lot of "Bikies" that would do the same thing, but don't let the media know,as they are ALL "criminal gangs"

I've both known and met a few "hard core" bikies,,, and most of them have had better manners, and have a better education than many other so called "high class/normal" people.
