It is a description I give to people who are behaving in a way like those in the first part of the posted vid, seemingly unprepared, confused, some unable to drive their own vehicles without tipping them over etc, basically it was as comical as watching a bunch of 'feathered' turkeys gaggling about a paddock.

I meant no malicious intent. I guess now the term 'turkey' when used in this context may now become a bit ' un PC' ??....

Never seen a scrub turkey desperate to build a nest late in the season?, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    Its Called Top truck Challenge

For those who want to know, this is Fourwheeler Magazine Top Truck Challenge competition.
The participants all have to enter via the magazine, and the magazine short lists the entrants to around 50 which are then put into the magazine and the general public (readers of Fourwheeler) vote on their top 10 they would like to see entered.
The competion is held at Hollister Hills off road park.
Majority of the rigs that make it into the competion will have 2 1/2ton military axles and 54" tyres.
They changed the rules last year that the vehicle has to resemble a real vehicle - no buggies allowed anymore.
If you think you can do a better job at driving those obstacles - enter the competition and see if you get voted in.

The vehicles are just not set up to do any serious offroad work, suspension is too soft, too much power, too top heavy and very poor driver skill, they are just poser trucks.

Hilarious really, a stock 4WD would do that coarse easier and faster.

    Cheers Baz.

And they break alot of parts.
Most of those trucks are out of their element in many of the tests they perform during that comp as the rigs that are competing are usually set up for one particular type of wheeling - generally Mud (big clearance, lots of HP but no articulation) or rock crawling (big tyres, lots of articulation, but little stability)
