I could not get the link to work - so here's the gist of it:

"MOTORCYCLISTS are 23% safer behind the wheel of a car than non-motorcyclists, according to a leading insurer.

Equity Red Star compared car drivers to car users who also have an insured motorcycle, and found the latter 23% less likely on average to make a claim on their car policy.

The firm also adjusted the figures to take into account the different typical ages of car drivers and motorcyclists, and still found the riders to be 21% better behind the wheel. The results showed motorcyclists were 20% less likely to make a bodily injury claim on their car policy.

The insurer examined 200 million policies between 2007 and 2012.

Rob Clark, Equity Red Star’s Head of Retail Motor, said: “A motorcyclist could, behind the wheel of a car, be said to be 23% better.”

Clark presented the data yesterday at a conference organised by the Motorcycle Industry Association to examine evidence that increasing the number of motorcyclists on the road could actually improve safety.

The conference was held in the offices of the Department for Transport in London."

This applies when the broken lane line continues to the kerb and a driver cannot cross the marked line (change lanes) EXCEPT where there is a sign that instructs "Left Lane Merge Right" or if the broken line stops and does not continue to the kerb - Confused???

So, somebody keeping to the left as required is unable to continue into the traffic flow in some circumstances. What is a truck driver or caravan tower supposed to do. Stop and sit there apparently - and then start from a standstill?

The old interpretation was that any following vehicle should slow and allow the merge to occur. Anyway the following vehicle really ought to also be in the left lane but will claim they were overtaking if there is an accident. Potentially both can be charged. One - failing to avoid a collision, the other changing lanes without safety.

What about the old "Give Way to the Right" rule - pretty simple. Look how complicated they have made giving way these days. So it has become give way to the bullies, the P-platers, the tradies in their bosses ute, the landscape gardener in the beat-up tipper, taxis and couriers and all the other impatient mongrels with scraped and dented vehicles.

Without footage of the prior minutes, we can only really debate what's shown in the video.

In my years of driving trucks ive seen truck drivers do silly things but honestly its 9 times out of 10 car drivers that are more idiots than the professional truck driver.
Every time i drive my truck in the rain or on damp roads i allow more than enough room to stop why because idiot car drivers do jump in front and hit the brakes
Ok champ, can you please highlight exactly what it is that makes you think I'm on something?

You mustn't be actually reading what I'm writing because I never said trucks should be driven like cars, that is your interpretation of my words.

Yep, there are more dickheads in cars because there are more cars than trucks.

I wont be dragged into a tit for tat champ , Honestly if you think and belive what you say that is fine with me . I am a professional truck driver that rides motor bikes and also own and use my 4WD offroad aswell on road
As you are intitled to your opinion im intitled to my professional driving opinion
My opinion comes from experience gained from years of driving experience in many types of conditions and vehicles

I find it incredible that anyone would try to justify that clown's actions.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Yep, you get that all the time when you are driving trucks/buses. Double lines, manners and indicators are optional, apparently. Where they usually get into trouble is overcorrecting after overtaking and then lose it. Some of them think they are Stirling Moss.
