I often run out of hand cleaner and find using neat hair shampoo does a wonderful cleaning job getting oil and grease.
The soaps like solvol etc just don't cut it.
So hair shampoo dissolves grease, but I wonder what it does to the head.
I have little hair on the head left,I wonder if all those chemicals in shampoo have contributed

Koala truck wash, the slightest smear is enough. Also mixed with degreaser and a little diesel or kero, it makes a very good engine and chassis cleaner.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Shampoo on a green and yellow dish sponge works wonders on even the dirtiest shower screens
Most hand cleaners, shampoos and dishwashing liquid are basically the same thing. The major ingredient after water, in each, is sodium laureth sulphate
"Yes Madge you're soaking in it"
Best I have found is laundry powder. Just dampen your hand, dip in box, rub a bit and rinse. All traces of dirt gone. Works on paint too.
Cheap, "green" clear liquid laundry detergent. All of the suggestions work pretty well.

I find a cake of ordinary hand soap lather it up then add a bit of washed sand does the trick. When complete leave the soap in the sand then ready for next time.
