    Clarke on the ropes?

Anyone else think our Cricket Captain is fighting for survival in this Ashes series?

not that we have ANYONE capable of replacing him--

and maybe that will save his bacon.

I get that impression, too. Not a confident interview the other day. If he hasn't learned how to handle short pitched balls, his days may be numbered. This is a very good England side, & if Clarke, Watson & co. are not at their best, could be a difficult summer. I see the ' snickometer ' actually an updated version, ' the Real Time snickometer ' is going to be used as part of the DRS, & great to hear the ABC will be broadcasting the Ashes. Bob

    Question

I'm an old Pom, so I always barrack for the Poms in the Ashes, and boy, haven't they needed suport during the many many times you guys have absolutely thrashed us.
Clarke?...No, I don't think He's in any real danger...there are people more to blame than him for poor performances recently.
Current Series?...."Beefy" says the Poms will win 5 nil???...Absolute B.S. How can he possibly say that.
I say the Series will be close, real close....wait & see.
    Cheers, Pickles.
If I was asked to pick a winner at this stage, I'd go 60/40 for the Aussies.

It's great for cricket to have a strong England side, & a competitive Aussie side, but even better would be a firing West Indies side!. Ahhh, the old days..... Bob

    Yes, the old days.
Lillee, Thomson, Ian Chappell, Holding, Roberts, Marshall, Croft, Garner, & my favourite (in my time anyway) Pom....the MIGHTY John Snow. IMHO, we've NEVER had a really aggresive really FAST bowler sinse....I wish we had the likes of him in our current side.
Ian Chappell is the best Aussie Captain I've seen, & Ray Illingworth for the Poms.
    Cheers, Pickles.

Shades of Kim Hughes, he doesn't have the respect of the whole team, I think they are grooming George Bailey

Funny you say that, I came to that conclusion myself, otherwise why bring in a 31? year old player to the side. Could be why Clark is worried, Boof is sweeping the new broom, much the same as Mackenzie , trying to create a new culture within the team . Bob
