seems a pity that no one can afford to drink it---
Why how much are they? Matt
You know the old saying Ace....
"If you have to ask, you can't afford it".
Lets just say I;d rather spend the money, if I had it, on Land Rover bits and pieces.
A friend of mine did work experience with a mechanic in Yr 10 and a guy came in and asked the mechanic to look of a Jag he was thinking of buying. The guy asked the mechanic what the fuel consumption was like, and the mechanic gave the guy a similar response to yours above. MattQuote:

I don't think Elisabeth would appreciate me drinking both of them on the same day!
I may open one when our daughter finishes Uni and the other when I retire.

how about $17,000 for a 1956 vintage???
I could have one nice Defender for that money !!!!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>"'Multiple exclamation marks,' he went on, shaking his head, 'are a sure sign of a diseased mind.' -- Something that Terry feels strongly about, because a similar quote also appears in 'Reaper Man' -- (Terry Pratchett, Eric)"
Burgundy colour???
Those ones should only be a few hundred a bottle.
I used to have a nice collection of wines
Drank them though
I only have the grange left. They are worth cellering for 20 years to reach their prime so mine is almost there.
Have you ever had them checked to make sure they aren't corked :?:
I know Penfolds, from time to time, hold special events for Grange owners where you bring your bottle along, they carefully open it and decant a little and get their experts to taste it to check its OK. They then top it up with some 'similar' wine they bring (it's only a very small amount and we must assume Penfolds know what they are doing), re-cork it, and send you on your way.
