Police are continuing a search in Moreton Bay, north of Brisbane, for a man who jumped from his car and ran into the water after being stopped for a random breath test this morning.

He was last seen 100 metres offshore after he entered the water at Redcliffe.

Water police, coast guard volunteers and a helicopter crew are involved in the search, ABC radio reports.
