My grandmother could start her families rover with a penny.
As said, it's not difficult to hotwire any early vehicle, at least with a land rover they'll be scratching their heads for so long trying to work out what to do because you've left the transfer case in neutral that you'll have time to wander out with a cuppa and a biccy with your german shepherd by your side to politely enquire as to if they might need a hand.

Saw a workmate start a xd or xf falcon with its own dipstick once. Also back in the mid eighties someone on the jobsite locked the keys in their xf ute.Imanaged to open it with a piece of fibreglass strapping in about 5 minutes.Had never done it before and wondered how long a professional car thief would take![]()

what I remember up on the farm when i is a kid the farm ute didn't have doors on it and the boss just shouted a few unprintable words at it and it started every time

ive got a 75 mini clubman, I had a mate walk up to it in a carpark, open the bonnet, and start the car all in under 10 seconds, no tools, nothing special, just a little bit of knowledge
I started parking it in gear that day....
No matter what security system you have,if someone has the right skills and tools, its gone. All a security system does is make it easier to steal someone elses car instead of yours![]()
