Watertank for 2013 Defender 130 HCPU

    Howdy All

First time posting to AULRO and looking for some help. Would like to fit a plastic water tank in that steel box that rear seats mount on a 2013 Def 130 HCPU. I can see MUD86 listed some dimensions that worked for him but I think that was a 98 model, which I expect might be a bit different.

Trying avoid pulling it apart to measure up and check for obstructions.

    Any help appreciated.

I have a tank that fits there in a Tdi and its rectangular - if you measure iup the box I can let you know if it fits.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

No obstructions. if you check my thread in in Members Rides

there is a pic of seats and box removes, so that is what is underneath.

Newhue was also involved in getting some tanks make up and may be able to help as well.

    cheers

So this pic is your baby with no back seat or box, so it is just a clean flat surface eh?

When you measure inside the box, you will need to deduct/take into account the bolts that hold the seat mounting mechanism. These bolts will protrude into the box. I ground these down a little. I also had the clips for the jack handle protrude into the box as well....I just removed these altogether.

I think my measurements won't be far off - just need to take into account the different seat mountings between my 98 and your 2013

    Cheers

Rear seat box measures externally 1335 x 380 x 145 (which is pretty much the same as suggested). So by the time we allow for bolts/nuts protruding internally (front and top) I'd say 1320 x 360 x 125 would be max useable space then I guess the pump and fittings need to fit in there as well.

Thanks for the help guys, all good. Have a great Chrissy.

We got a few made by Chris at www.abbertanks.com.au to suit the 300tdi, td5 and Puma 130. The TD5 and Puma are slightly different to the 300. I have drawings somewhere are home if you need them, or call Chris and tell him Ranga sent you
