You've tried it then ;)
Hey Ian, next time we meet at Mount Mee I'll be sure to pack a tin to throw on the BBQ. I'm sure the Kookaburra's will eat it :D

Try one of the premium single serve cat foods. A food technologist friend of mine regularly serves D**E Salmon Mousse variety as an entree at her dinner parties. None of the guests have ever twigged to what they are eating. She works for the company and knows what goes in and how it is made, and has no issues eating it herself.
On the other hand I spent a fair amount of my younger days in meatworks, and I know exactly what goes into camp pie and corned beef - the hearts add a certain richness of flavour! After 24 hours in the retort it could have started as fillet and the result would be the same!
Ha! Interesting one this! I'm from the UK and can't stand spam, but every time I open a fresh tin of the Supercoat Meat for for my dogs, I can't get over how good it smells... The day of tasting is getting ever closer.... Much to SWMBO's disgust! Whiskers 'Oh so Fishy' smells pretty good too when fresh!!! :p
the ingredients listed on classic Spam include: pork with ham, salt, water, modified potato starch, sugar, and sodium nitrite. Potato starch is used for binding the chopped meat together and sodium nitrate is used as a preservative. The jelly like substance that surrounds spam is caused by natural gelatins in the meat that solidify when cooled (like an aspic). Depending on the variety of Spam, other ingredients, including chicken or turkey, may be added.

It is like kitchen scraps put on a blender.
Ha Ha.
Once when I was a kid, I was visiting my grandparents. I went and fed the cats one day, and the can of whiskas said "Sardines and Tuna".
"Hmmm", I thought. "I'm quite partial to both of those", "and it does smell kinda good". And so, much to the cats disgust, I helped myself to a mouthful.
It tastes nothing like it smells. :(
And the problem with Spam is, it's too dear now.
