My Disco 4 has been very good all year (nearly). One naughty episode involved getting too close to a rock step and resulted in dented doors.

For Christmas the car received (or is about to receive).

    1. An accurate tyre pressure gauge and a tread depth gauge from Snap-on.

    2. A pair of rocksliders with step/stand-off bars from GOE.

    3. A set of six 18 inch rims from GOE. Delivery delayed because of storms in UK

My wife approved (by letting me choose my own presents) but gifts 2 and 3 are yet to arrive. Christmas will be here again.....soon.

My Front Runner Gull Wing doors arrived just before Christmas. Bummer is we are in Melb for Christmas so I'm now champing at the bit to get home so I can fit them.
I've also been given permission to upgrade the intercooler and fit a VNT. I'm trying to improve the towing capabilities on the hills towing our camper.

He's hoping you all had a good Christmas and wishing you all a prosperous new year!

    Nino.

SWMBO's Wrangler got a set of Narva freeform headlights, a couple of grab handles, and a set of brake line relocation brackets. Having the one who loves you own a Jeep makes for easy Christmas gift choosing, there's always something to improve

I was going to get the Puma 110 a rear wheel carrier as a post Xmas treat for me until I checked the price.
WOW. Looks like the locally produced item which can be locked open, has had a huge (approx. 200 bucks) price increase since I last checked them out about 2 months ago.
Then I checked an importers prices for the SA (I think) made item and found the same, price appears to have risen by around 150 bucks.
Is this a case of the falling dollar making imports dearer and the locals putting their prices up to match?
What ever the case, I'll now go looking for a decent second hand one as I'm not paying over 600 or up to 1100 bucks just for a wheel carrier.
