We just drove my D2 TD5 from Nuriootpa to Darwin and back this year.
Daly waters is good, Aeirleron ( hope I spelt it OK) is a great place to stop.
Do youself a favour and take a small very easy dirt road detor down from the highway 30kms above Glendambo down to Kinggoonya (pub and hotel where all the railways meet up - run by 2 ex army guys) and then back onto the highway at Glendambo.

Kingoonya pub is currently run by a couple from Darwin...

Well 2nd day and only made it 400ks from home, currently at territory manor in mataranka and the only people here so enjoying the relax .
Thanks for the tips, just got to see how far we get by new years eve first.
