It was sat at the speed limit too (not bad for a 101).... That was me and 107gus coming back from a shopping spree in the city, collecting stuff for Gus's next leg of his trip! :D

Within minutes of being home, we were stood chatting in the yard, and a pair of what looked like 130's pulled up at the corner on Balmoral Road. The first was a Red Td5 with custom box on the rear and a trailer towing a Series 1 with ROPS. The second was a white 130 Td5 also with custom box. They took off b4 I had chance to flag them down! :o
Funny u should say that.. Just traveled from Kingston SE South of Adelaide back to the Barossa in the 101 today... Saw lots of late Discos and RR's.. Not one returned the wave. Saw a nice 130 towing a caravan south of Talem Bend and did get a wave! Seems the wave is lost with the later 'non agricultural' Land Rovers!! :D
I dunno. We got quite a few waves from a variety of Landrover models in SA when we travelled through late last year. (Maybe it was all the camping gear etc we had on the roofrack). :)
It's almost unheard of to receive a return wave from another Landrover here in WA when driving the D4. Get more waves in my young bloke's Mazda RX7. :p
Last week I spotted a Defender 110, Defender 90 and a 101 in convoy heading south on the Calder Highway in Irymple. They looked as though they had been out playing in the red mud too!
Cheers, Mick.
You need a new map.
I reckon it was a black 101. I'm also tipping the 90 was actually a Series 2 Lightweigt or there was a Series 2 Lightweight in the vicinity or there was another 101 in the vicinity.
It was probably AJ, Mick and company returning from their Simpson Desert trip.
Red defender, blue ninety and didn't see a lightweight at all.
Not far from SA here ;)
Cheers, Mick.
Spotted 3 series vehicles of verying states of disrepair in Andamooka today.
