Whilst out at Merbein yesterday attending the "Vanilla Slice Triumph" street fair, I had the pleasure of meeting a couple who had driven over from Salisbury, South Australia, for the event. They, along with their pet Kelpie, were traveling in a nice little modified series 2A 88" truck cab that has an Isuzu 4BD1 grafted into it.
AULRO members too! :)
It was great to see two series Land Rover 88's parked in the street.
Theirs and mine! :)
Cheers, Mick.

I saw a couple of Defenders in Port Pirie last week. I was there for a conference. A white 110 was parked at the International where I was staying. Didn't see the owner though. Amused the guy I was travelling with when I waved by force of habit at at Defender in Adelaide!
Didn't have a camera with me, nor did I have my wife with me, as I usually use her notebook to take pics. My phone pre dates the "ice age" so it's pointless taking photos with it. :)
I have actually put my "spotted" entry in the wrong thread too, as Merbein is in Victoria, only about 120 kay from the South Oz border though. ;)
Cheers, Mick.
Yep was mine :P, couldn't pass up a vanilla slice festival :P. On the way back I decided to follow the old mail track from Merbein to Lindsays Point through the Murray Sunset park, that was an adventure, mud, water, small crossings. And on the way out they ask how the track was :P It was some pretty interesting/challenging driving. The park was beautiful, but as i had the dog i couldn't stop :P.
Here is a picture of her after that track :P

Good to hear you enjoyed your weekend and got to see a bit of the back country on your way home. Hope your dog didn't get muddy whilst riding shotgun in the tub!
Nice looking Landy, do the twin snorkels both feed the air intake, or is one for cabin ventilation?
Cheers, Mick.
Was a Nice black D4 with twin wheel carriers parked at the Bakery in Pt Wakefield yesterday, as well as a neatly modified D2 V8 with Xrox and trailer full of toys.
Coming back from my harrowing trip down south to Kingston S E i had stopped in tailem bend to fill up. This fine looking example of a 1972 s2a rocked up.
Big wheels, holden motor, 3 fuel tanks and a water tank. Very nice beast, nice guy driving it too. Really cool wagon.
