    Some interesting replies here.

For me some of the worst cars possibly weren’t the worst however they seemed bad at the time because I wanted to be driving something else.

I drove a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van (which I loved) and had to drive a Ford Transit for a couple of days due to job logistics. I hated leaving my Sprinter with another guy at work and then the Transit blew a turbo. The guy didn’t clean it, so it was dirty and he had no tools to fix anything. I ended up putting over 100L of oil on the company fuel card to get it back to the yard to get it fixed. It cost them a new exhaust as well as so much oil going through the motor just blocked it up. I hated that thing.

Then I have driven a Acco B1800 (I think) years ago on a farm in WA. It had a 4 speed crash box with a 3 speed, crash joey box. It would take me 10km to reach 40km/h and then I’d have to stop. That was all if I didn’tpass out from the heat of the motor or run of the road because there was so much movement in the axles. It was probably a terrible thing to drive but Iloved it.

I love all KE55 (1979) Toyota Corollas. I have owned a few(more than 5). I had one as my first car and I know them inside out. I don’t think there is anything I couldn’t fix on them. They aren’t fast, they don’t handle that well but I love them.

I had a MY2005 WRX that I bought new. I loved it too and it was the longest I have owned any single car. Worst thing was I worried about i ttoo much and therefore I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could have.

If I’d been asked this question 3 – 4 months ago I would have said my Disco 2 because so much **** was wrong with it. Now I love it.

I love driving everything. It’s what stops me being able to drive it that I hate.

AU falcon. Was a work car with 25,000km on the clock. I had to drive it once and when I gave the keys back I told them to take it to the mechanic to find out what was wrong with it.

After that I always took my own car which was an XF panel van and much more enjoyable drive. The experience of driving it meant that when we were looking for a newer falcon ourselves to replace our old XE wagon I refused to even look at the AU falcons the dealer was trying to sell us. We ended up buying a V8 NL Fairlane. Great car to drive but horrible to own.

I've been thinking about this for a while and I've come up with one.

A 1978 Toyota Corona. Drum brakes, No power, heavy, thirsty, uncomfortable, poor handling.

I near crashed one on Kangaroo Valley. Terrible under steer out of a hair pin bend. I managed to stop about a foot of a rock wall.

    Funny stuff.
