I drove a hyundai getz once. No idea if they all do this but I nearly crashed it turning onto a free way as the damn thing torque steered so badly that when I put my put down I needed 1/6 of a turn on the wheel to keep the damn thing straight!

That and every single thing about that car was awful, surely no one at NRMA has driven one as they keep going on about how great they are. I guess they get together over a coffee and thumb through the brochures and judge their car of the years by the accessories and price tag

On mine, it was the cheap and nasty OEM points.

Once I stuck in a set of Bosch, problem went away.

There is 2 I can't seperate. 1 kia mentor about 2005 model, and my current ford ranger work ute. Think it's a PJ 2wd maybe 2008 or 2009.

Glad I never owned either, I would rather drive a Toyota.

    Cheers Ean

Its funny, I've always thought that the lada niva could be such a great car. small, great suspension etc with a little care and development they could have had a real classic.. but instead they used crap metal and never developed the design. Such a shame.

Recently the current model Toyota Tarago. I'm not a family man (ie. I have no kids) but I recently got to borrow one and it was horrible. It's designed to be comfortable (which it was) and not a sportscar, but I wasn't expecting one either. While the steering wheel felt like it was attached to the wheels, the wheels did not feel like they were attached to the rest of the car it took a long long time to build speed between 60 and 100 - the speeds you are most likely to be travelling at - but for me the worst thing was all the switches are either out of reach or impossible to figure out

All together worst car? Probably a 1980 Datsun Sunny Wagon. It had led a hard life before I met t but I cannot imagine it was a good car when it rolled out of the factory either. Had a lot of fun beating through the scrub in it though! It was far better off the road than on it!

Worst of recent times would have to be a Holden Viva, circa 2008. Had it as a hire car from Hertz, and it was awful. It was some sort of rebadged Daewoo ****box, with (supposedly) a 1.8 engine and an auto box.

It had all the acceleration of an ant carrying some very heavy shopping, and whole continents would slide past in the time it would take for the automatic gearbag to make up it's mind which ratio was appropriate......for a different car going at a different speed.

Identification plate may actually say manufactured by kia. Early and late festivas definitely did. Terrible cars. Early Korean cars were terrible. Not so fond of them now either.
