Unhappy What is the worst car you have ever driven?

I have just driven my Mum to Cairns and back to Mossman in her 2000 Ford Fiesta. Even though this is one of the best, if not the best drives in Australia, I can't help thinking what a horrible car. I would have taken the Defender but she doesn't like climbing in and out. About 6 years ago my wife and I needed a cheap second car and we only had budget of $4000 and it had to be auto. The only small car we could find in Brisbane at the time was a 99 Hyundai Excel auto. I swear the gear box was made out of rubber bands. After two rebuilds of the gear box some idiots in Lilydale Victoria actually stole it. Unfortunately it had a couple of good CDs in the glove box. I believe the reason these cars were so bad is not just the quality and reliability, (I am on a LR forum)it is the way they drive. They feel so vague and lifeless. I was told once that the designers in South Korea who designed these cars couldn't even drive. So I put it to you folks, What is the worst car you have ver driven?

A 2000 Ford Fiesta is a rebadged what - I don't think it is the a genuine Ford.

in the past (90s) the Aust Fiesta has been a rebadged Kia and prior to that a Mazda 121 (pre bubble car).

Toyota Aurion is the one that springs to mind. Probably because I had higher expectations of it than most 'whitegoods' type of cars but it was horrible. Didn't handle; the big engine was a let down but the worst thing was the gearbox. Seemed determined to ensure it was in the wrong gear at every opportunity and the manual mode stubbornly resisted accepting my input until I gave up and left it in D.

Second one that springs to mind in the previous model Corolla. Manual gearbox was clunky and slow, understeered terribly with very poor road holding, engine quite underwhelming and bad-sounding too.

I'm not a Toyota hater, it's just those two cars spring to mind first. I've driven plenty of crappier cars but then I had lower expectations and they turned out to be fun in their own way.

It is a KIA. It might be earlier than 2000. It has a 1.3 litre donk. My Defender would blow it away.

I haven't had the pleasure of driving a Cruze but I haven't heard good things.

The previous model Cruze was horrible, but the new one isnt too bad at all !
    Toyota Corolla - not good.

The worst though is probably the original Hyundai Excel bubble car. Work once got rid of the Falcon and used to make 5 of us drive from Brisbane to Coolangatta and back in the bloody Excel. Well it just couldn't cope. The right pedal controlled volume, as opposed to speed. The seat cushions provided NO support of any kind and the rear seat passengers had to be really good friends - they were certainly close ! After the managers had to use it a couple of times we got an XR6 instead ! Funny that.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Probably a Lada Niva. I can imagine it is good in some environments, but not on sealed roads. The one I drove would stop for no apparent reason, had a plastic bag in the fuel tank.
