My whinge for the day......one badly scalded foot when the heater pipe let go, one nearly empty radiator, and Australia Day spent stripping the interior to let everything dry out so no BBQ today, but lots of beers.

Sore foot, sore back, sore head....!

One mans crap is anothers wisdom, btw you don't have to click on my posts, and quite a lot of my " cut & pastes " are from the BBC. I do prefer fact before fiction, don't you? Go back to sleep. Sweet dreams, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    My whinge for yesterday...

When you spend money and put your faith in an Australian brand-name, you expect to at least get what you pay for. OK, so this pump was about $120 last year and it was around 40 or 50% off the usual price, but hey, I expect it to get close to doing what it claims to... The $60 SuperC one is still going strong. Slow, but pumps up to whatever pressure I want.

Bought it last year and have'nt needed it till now. Son wants to go beach-driving with g/friend and thought I'd check it out etc. Glad i did...
After 5 minutes I managed to inflate a car tyre from 24 psi to...... 40psi but no further, possibly due to leaking tyre-valve clamp but mainly the lack of pressure/air-flow. Even without the hose (and fitting) the pressure developed by this twin-cylinder "4WD Air Compressor" was nothing special at all...

Since the receipt it long-gone, thought I'd pull it apart and see if the piston valves inside were sticking or whatever. See the pics...Bear in mind that it's had less than 15 minutes use.

Lesson? - Don't bother with 'Australian' brand name stuff. Just buy a couple of smaller, cheaper evilbay clones. For 1/4 the price. - Could'nt last any less !

PS, the ON-OFF switch died after a couple of cycles. No reason to, as it switches a well-installed relay...
