I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
A new generation of speech, coffee tastes and behavioural patterns is emerging with the advent of the Nespresso shops franchising in major shopping centres.
It is like the latte set have moved in with a new dress code and language.
My two sons are Nespresso persons and left Xmas requests for certain coffee "pods" for which SWMBO and myself attempted to purchase.
Firstly , you cannot get Nespresso pods anywhere else but a Nespresso shop.
Secondly , there are only a few Nespresso shops in SE Qld spaced within about 200km.
Thirdly , when you get there the shop is full of Gen Y types talking in café latin and you wait in lines like supermarket checkouts for about half an hour and you still don't know what you are really buying.
You can do tastings in a special area, but you need one of their staff to talk you through.
It goes on.....anyone experienced it?
So.....after Xmas I ask #2 son to make me a good strong coffee from his machine. The result?....meh....my plunger using Vittoria !00% aribica coffee grounds ****s all over it for taste.
Does anyone have and love a Nespresso coffee maker?
This thread is either:
1. A gratuitous 'post count' booster; or
2. A call for help from a coffee deprived individual, supported by like minded deprivees.
Either way, I'll go have a coffee and think about it.
Ralph
