    Something special from Queensland, the cultural centre of Australia

    Enjoy, Bob

    Sends a tingle up your spine every time you hear this piece of beautiful music

    Suggest full screen and speakers on to enjoy this wonderful rendition.

    OOps, left myself open there! try again

    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    That was way cool. Always like that piece. First time I heard it was when watching Torville and Dean (ice skaters at the Olympics).

    Good admittedly, but this is more 'Queensland',

    or this.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfvlGFVKZw0]Diamantina Drover - John Williamson - YouTube[/ame]

    But we lost our best culture when the Malanda cheese factory closed, eh Barefoot?

    Ian - Redgum also did a brilliant version of Diamantina Drover. There's nothing like the voice of John Schumann.

    I've got a couple of albums of Schumann on his own (after he left Redgum). There's some great songs on them - IMO the best one is "For the Children".

    Sorry - can't post a link at the moment as we're blocked from Youtube on the work computers.
    Cheers .........

    Yep, love that piece of music, every time I hear it I think of Torville and Deane winning their gold medal at the Winter Olympics all those years ago!!
