As I said Ean, sometimes people just need some one to believe in them, don't know how your good deed turned into a rant, but good on you mate, should be more like you. Bob

I know only what you've posted and when you said the 65% turnover rate was after weeding out the stoners I believed you.;)
Now work is not a democracy so in both a union( your favourite word:twisted:) and non union workplace the main way a person votes is with their feet and the withdrawal of Labour. And with you saying the workers are taking 1 sickie in the first week then 2-3 each following week till sacked With 65% doing this most people would think there where issues. This was from your middle paragraph, Previous post.
Now whether you choose to believe it or not the vast majority, almost all bar a few scammers,of the people I've worked with who where casual wanted to work more and earn more. With the aim of becoming full time at that place or finding a better job elsewhere.
Of the hundreds of casuals at my TNT job most would move to full time at other companies with many coming back for the Oct-Dec rush on arvo shift from 4-9(usually finished anywhere from 10:30-1am morning started at 6 till 11 but could go throughout the day to 4) if their full time job allowed it. The 40 odd at my other job All either looked for fulltime there or elsewhere.
As to employability, they must l Iike having me there as I've never been fired and only been cautioned at both TNT(18hr daysx3) and here for fatigue (60-70 +hrs per week or 12-13 , 12hr shifts in 2 weeks often) after doing to many hour's. Actually several of my crew where given the same talk, something you obviously have not had to do for 65% of the Aussie casuals :)
As to " Wayne Pajero Kerr" that "title" was plainly for 3 managers of myself and my family. ;) I am befuddled as to why you would try and claim it as yours.
Its Ok, Bob, have you read my posts under the influence of caffeine? :D
Talking about the Bundy nectar, I do not drink that but I have heard by more than one person that cannot touch the stuff because they change their behavior and become intolerant!
They can drink any other spirit without any problem.
Did you heard that?
Sorry Ean I hijacked the thread but you can chip in with you opinion :D
That was a typo which followed you miss quoting me in #47. My original comment stands.
I said that 65% took a day off in the first week and you claimed there was a 65% staff turn.
I also said that the turnover reduced to 5% but that appears to be of no consequence in your ramblings. Same old mantra..all bosses are bastards and all empolyees are perfect.
Have a good life.
Ean it is great to see you being creative in looking for workers. Cheers
Yeah, sorry Ian, but Mr Chucaro, rum turns mice into kangaroos, sparrows into eagles, and was given to the men in the trenches before they went over the top in WW1. I don't normally drink it, thankfully. But on the odd occasion it is good to rant & roar like true British sailors. [ I will add this, if you are going to hijack a thread, one must do it properly ]

Mmm Bundy :D second favourite after gentleman Jack.
One final question nugget said he employed the" Indian students "as 38hr/ week casuals but here it says a limit of 40 hrs a fortnight for anyone On a student visa?
Student Visa Conditions for the Primary Visa Holder
They can only work more over holidays? Is this true?
Whoops:wasntme:
Obviously he follows those rules and would never take advantage of a third world student desperate for an extra 20+ hours of paid work to take /send home. They must be job sharing from Feb obviously.
As a matter of fact, considering what was posted just before, this is a good hijack, Bob [ at least I'm not disrespecting people]
