I would probably fail, front axle is over in touring mode and as I would probably leave the camper at home I would be close or over GVM

Where can we check that we are not over? apart from weighing each individual article, I mean. Not knocking the safety check, Bob

Here in bundy the rubbish dump has a weigh bridge to go into the dump.
Go to tip shop get weight for free.
Also many places like big scrap metal dealers and cement places have public weigh bridges which you can usually go over for a gold coin donation.

Here you go Bob. I paid $40 I think, it's an interesting exercise. A 110 or Disco in expedition trim will most likely be over GVM. Not hard to understand why trailers have become popular.

Redcliffe dump has scales as you drive in and out. Reckon fully loaded for touring I'd probably be under by a couple of hundred kilos. Mind you, that's with just the standard tank of fuel, which would be fine except for desert trips

I have found at weigh bridges--
if you want a company weight receipt, =full $ charge
if you want it just written down =

and with any form of trailer, you may want up to 4 different weights.

Thanks, I remember some time back members were being weighed on the side of the road in South Australia. Another reason to keep it light, I guess, Bob
