Get an inverter for you car or a normal toothbrush.
Here's a little problem. When travelling around Australia we frequently found it difficult to charge up the electric toothbrushes. Some campsites were very picky about charging any appliance, no matter how little power was taken. Also toothbrushes generally take most of the night to fully charge.
What I'm looking for is either an electric toothbrush that can be charged from the Land Rover's 12 volt supply, a gadget that will allow our existing Brauns to be charged from 12 volts or a really good toothbrush that runs on replacement batteries.
I know that a converter can be used to take 12 volts to mains power and then back down again to whatever the toothbrush needs but this seems a very wasteful way to do it. Surely there must be a better way.
Any experiences or views out there?

How about an apple?
As I young fellow in the outback I heard the local indigenous kids chewed coals out their campfires to clean their teeth. Tastes like s*** but apparently works well?
