Probably better off with a battery powered one where you can either use alkaline or rechargeable.
Oral B Advance Power 400 Battery Powered Toothbrush Powered BY Braun | eBay
The normal rechargeable toothbrushes use induction to charge and its an inefficient and slow way of charging.
We carry around a set of AA Eneloop batteries and use a 12v charger to charge them on the go and its very quick.

SWMBO has to take hers everywhere as well,a regular PITA.She has the battery powered one,but if not packed well,it will turn itself on,so the battery is normally flat anyway.
I just take the pack with the two spares, for when hers is flat.....
I bet in the early days of series Land Rovers people used their tooth brushs via the PTO. (The PTO did every thing else in videos)
Hi,
we went 3 months with 2 electric toothbrushes and one charger. Each brush was charged for a day's driving on our inverter every week or so.
It just wasn't an issue. If one was a bit 'down', it went on the charger for a while.
cheers
Electric toothbrushes!!! I'm flabergasted.![]()
I guess we'll just have to floss![]()
I'm pretty sure that in 10 or 20 years from now if someones toothbrush 'stops working' they won't brush the teeth until they get a replacement. Won't even know there was a manual override
Same deal if the car breaks down, how many people even bother to lift the bonnet these days when the car grinds to a halt (Landy owners excluded)
