    Mechanics near Chatswood/Willoughby

    Can anyone recommend a trustworthy mechanic near Chatswood or Willoughby in Sydney? The last couple of places I went to for servicing have been pretty disappointing.

    I need to get my 05 Freelander serviced, and also get someone to investigate a creaking noise and a recent plume of smoke coming from near the power steering pump (at least that's what I think it is).

    I'm in the area (not that I'm a mechanic).

    Best bet is probably Ayres Automotive in Brookvale - 20mins from Chatswood.

    I tried calling Pete Davis, but he's left his phone at his last customers house! I'll try again later as having someone come to my place would be very convenient.

    I just spoke to Pete Davis, and unfortunately I'm too far away from his normal area of service

    Looks like Brookvale is my closest option unless anyone else has any suggestions.

    You could try Carl at Greenlight Car Care, in Pioneer Ave Thornleigh. Still a bit of a hike from Chatswood. He's a Defender driver but does RRc, Discos and cars etc, probably even a Freelander!

    My last experience with ALTO in St Leonards was pretty top notch, mind you it was a factory recall for the D3 so I didn't have to pay the price.

    But value/service for the price you can't go past Craig T's Mobile Mechanics.
