Having had a melanoma removed I can say Im very concerned about cancer, its part of being a ranga in australia.Inevitable due to my early exposure to the sun with no sun protection and a life spent mainly in the outdoors enjoying the sun and working in the sun.
Im on 3 month skin cancer checks for the next 3 years just to ensure the one removed hasnt spread its wings.

Flippant, no. We have a family susceptibility to cancer, particularly bowel cancer. It's something in the back of your mind, but can't let it rule your life.

No I just have enough health problems right now to not worry about it. The meds I'm taking probably cause cancer, they seam to have every other side effect listed.

The longer you live the more chance you have of developing some form of cancer, the choice is to die of something else younger or to take your chances and enjoy it while it lasts!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Your not alone LandyAndy..
My brother had a melanoma removed from his groin the other week.It had travelled up from his feet. They got it all,but he now has the wait(5 years) to make sure they got it all.
He is a stockbroker, is always surfing( he's 65).He was always covering up whenever he was out in the surf but this really blew him.

    cheers

I agree. This is the biggest issue facing humans at the moment, and with nothing being done. We can talk about cancer all we like, and advances in medicine that prolong lives are just making us feel good while exacerbating the problem.

I don't understand why people don't see this... and can't understand people that behave as if human rights would be violated at the suggestion of population control.
