i have my landy for many reasons;
it's my primary source of transportation,
i've always had a 4wd,
i bought this baby for touring and the long term, since we can't just go over the hill to go 4wding on a fire trail on a sunday after lunch anymore.
it's a rare one and although it's not original, i still like to be able to maintain it and restore it to a point,
and like it or not, it's a statement about my personality and who i am. (that's not to say that i'm unreliable and incontinent)
my wife's ML320 is another story, it was bought simply as a means of her getting around as a station wagon so she could cart our dogs, we ended up with the 4wd simply because it was all we could get from the germans that wouldn't scrape the road at the base of our driveway, it's worked out well since then anyway as she tows a dog washing trailer for work now.
