Nothing wrong with 200Tdi's. My Defender has that engine, and I dare say its a bit heavier than a Disco. I like 'em.
My missus, on the other hand, is a revhead and wants a V8 (there goes Pedro again!) but wants someone else to pay for the fuel. 8O
Hmm, I wonder who...

As you already know, I also own a TD5 Disco. I love it! I once owned a Toyotathingy in the early eighties. It was a normally aspirated 2.2L. Overtaking manouvers had to be planned very, very well! I have been hooked on diesels in fourbies ever since.
The Turbo Disco goes very well. Especially if you hit the "sport mode" button for those quick overtaking actions we sometimes have to do.
Go the diesel! Your wallet will love you for it!

Does sound pretty good :!:
Are '91 V8's good ?
Anyone know a good place in ACT to get a pre-purchase inspection of a Landie done ?
MAYBE I'll give 'em a ring. If the missus is interested.

I dont think much changed in the body from startup to '91
(they stopped putting those 'orrible stripes on the two door)
thats an unusual colour( at least up here)
engine internals have been the same since forever,
as long as it sits level and the front seats havent turned into "buckets"
it should be fine,,
for gods sake ring,,, ask a lot of questions
and report back!!!!
