I've played an Ovation Viper and loved it - to hold and play it reminds me a little bit of a Telecaster (which I adore! :D) but I've always wanted to play an Ovation acoustic too. I'd probably be more inclined to go with an older one but I've met a few people who still rate them :BigThumb:
ok you guitar freaks.....who knows what the black thin bodied acoustic guitar is that Leonard Cohen uses?
I Googled it, Godin, made in Canada, I'm looking at the Maton because they are made in Australia from Australian timber and Tommy Emanuel swears by them;)
Baz.
Ok guitar gurus - what level is an Eston Model 063?
Italian, made 11/1978.
Bought it years ago to learn to play, found I can't:(.
Been sitting in a cupboard since.
Terry
Thanks Baz, that was an interesting read. Mine is still in tune, been in that cupboard since I moved here 6 years ago. (I can tune a guitar, that seems to be the limit if my skills):)
Hopefully one of the grandkids will turn out to be musical.
if one of them is, the gene didn't come from me.:D
Cheers,
Terry
I'm not that musical either, it's hard work for me, and why it's taken me so long to get to where I am now, I gotta practice the simplest things over and over, bar chords are my worst thing, my saving grace is I can hold a beat(from learning the drums)
1 2 11 2:D:MileStone:
I had an Eston 12 string which I bought in about 1973.
I loved it's sound , it had a nice action, it had a pickup.
But it suffered, frets fell out, the bridge came off, the pickup failed.
It was like an Alfa GTV. Or a Land Rover.
Anyway I sold it, and bought the Yamaha I have now.
