The gear thing is like any car, you need to get used to it, they are geared differently...

The seating thing is probably because you sat like you would in the Disco and
not like you should in a defender, sit up man!!

The sweating... MMMM are you maybe "going through the change?"

as for being confused in your mind...where else do you get confused??

    Now Im confused......

G'arn you know you do want one.

You have to test drive them for longer.

I had a test drive and it went like this
MLR to home about 30 min - did not like
Home to sons about 30 min - starting to like
Sons to MLR about 60 min - wanted to buy one.

Ended up buying a D4 but that is another storey.
    Cheers

It was a hot day on the coast yesterday....caught a lot of people by surprise.

The a/c worked well, it was really the vinyl seats.....I have thick lambswool.

I managed to drive it fairly smoothly double clutching, but I didn't think I would need to do that.....that I can easily get used to.

If I put the lambswools on the fender seats it might work.

    The radio/stereo is hopeless.

I had an idea, dont know if I've bounced it around.....sound bars for a home entertainment unit , surely they would do it.

What I need to do is drive one to William Ck. Does anyone hire Defenders?

This mob does, but they are based in Sydney and Cairns only:

    Hello, we've recently bought a new 90.
I think you'll find the seats aren't vinyl, they're cloth. We had the vehicle up in the Mallee recently in 42C heat,...the A/C was good,...no sweaty bums!
Don't know why you would need to be Double De clutching,..we don't.
Radio/stereo hopeless,...Is that the stereo unit that is hopeless, or is it the "noise" that is shutting it out?!! Can't do a lot about the noise, but there again, "for a Defender", I reckon it's acceptable,....I mean, can you believe it?...a subwoofer in a Defender?!
C'mon, just buy one, you will NOT regret it.
    Cheers, Pickles.

130 seats always were vinyl in previous models, but I'm not sure re the newer ones.

    Hi
my 130cc 2009 has cloth seats.

Don't know what the fuss about the radio is, my gps comes through on it clear as a bell. Haven't found any thing else as interesting to listen to on it though.

I'm wrapped with mine, it is much more a 4wd than I am.

    cheers

Hmm, after having cardno/cardna/cardinal joint bundy off and prop shaft destroying the ZF last June I'm still having nightmares about keeping the D2. It's ten years old with 134 K on the odo, mostly OK but nightmares continue so thinking of taking advantage of LR's Main Event promo and tucking into a 110 wagon.
